Why I Am Running

About Me.

Hello, and thank you for visiting! I am running for school committee because I am passionate about maintaining the high quality of our school system while providing a supportive environment for our students and teachers. I bring experiences that help me see challenges our students, teachers and community face from unique and fresh perspectives.

  • High school STEM teacher in Newton, MA for 6 years

  • 7 years experience developing online STEM learning resources

  • 5 years experience managing diverse teams

  • 4 years experience managing large budgets ($400k - $1.4M)

  • Substitute teacher in Westford public schools for 2 years

  • ​2 kids in the Westford school system (Stonybrook & Abbot)

  • PhD in Molecular Microbiology from Tufts Medical School

Build from the ground up communication and community development strategies to grow brand awareness and product usage for a startup creating simulation-based STEM learning tools for grades 3-12.

Assist K-12, higher education and professional organizations in expanding the reach and impact of their existing STEM programs through customized solutions including design of curricula, training, programming and evaluation tools.

Oversee design, curation and dissemination of high-quality digital science education resources for middle and high school students. Develop external partnerships, provide strategic planning, expertise and guidance for multiple teams, and improve cross-functional communication and collaboration.

Biology & Chemistry Teacher

Newton South High School

Biotechnology and chemistry teacher for grades 9-12 with a focus on creating curricula that build a personal connection with STEM. Co-developed a new STEAM program, developed a project-based chemistry course and a biotechnology course.
